Polkadodge – the dance that occurs when two people attempt to pass each other but move in the same direction
hi Sara-i come in peace

earworm is good (it comes from German, and quite recently) but most of those are rubbish. Wurfing and furble are just made up words (probably with the intention of getting them into a dictionary).

Tokein wasn't the editor of the OED, he just researched the history of words beginning with W. He was responsible for getting walrus into the dictionary but that's about it.
I thought Freeganism was an accepted word.
What super words boxy, I like the wibble, and the furgle and the griefer who we know as the troll. Its a pity they're not in general use.
There definately needs to be a word for when you nearly bump into someone so move to the side, and then double that or even triple if you do it several times, like polkadodge, and a double polkadodge.

There is a polkadodge on the list molly. Made-up words are the way we get a lot of new words into the language - we use 'em a lot in our house, we know what we mean!
That's why I said it, and suggested the double etc polkadodge.
Question Author
PS yes gran, I spotted the griefer, thought I'd let someone else mention it first!
I wondering how many Abers 'wurf' ?
