Can anyone remember a snooker/billiards programme shown on tv in the early to mid sixties. I know Pot Black started in 1969 but I'm sure I can remember watching such a programme in black and white with my grandad when I was a kid. Any help much appreciated.

Definitely a separate program? Just thinking that maybe they might have had highlights from the World Championship final on Grandstand or another sports show.

It could have been highlights bibblebub but I did have the idea it was a separate programme as I remember grandad sitting down to watch it at a certain time - about 8 in the evening I think. I may be mistaken as I was only about 10 yrs old. Thanks anyway.
Snooker...in B&W? Daft I call it. Sure it wasn`t Billiards?
When Pot Black first came out many people still had only B&W TVs. Apparently a snooker commentator is supposed to have said, "And for those of you watching in B&W, the pink is just behind the yellow".
Pot Black is credited with producing one of the most memorable British sports quotes. Legendary commentator Ted Lowe, aware that not all viewers had colour televisions, said "and for those of you who are watching in black and white, the pink is next to the green."
Sorry mike, must have been another match lol
