It could be hockey. It's easy really.

Ock where it not for lock. Take out the L because it's been one L of a day. Then you get ---key. You need a key to unlock which would be OK. If you leave out the ock you get hey. Hey it's ok to unlock the key. You can dig that with a hoe and a ho. No key.
Drink hoc. The diamond is locked by the key. When you drink hoc you become an attention seeker. Hey you would say, unlock the hoc with the key. Good sport.
Jolly, jolly hockey. Good sport.
