SALVE noun (salves) 1 ointment or remedy to heal or soothe • lip salve. 2 anything that comforts, consoles or soothes. verb (salved, salving) 1 to smear with salve. 2 to ease or comfort • salve one's conscience.
ETYMOLOGY: Anglo-Saxon sealf.
i did get it right, sandyroe was just sharper to it!
