I've completed the grid, got the 'man of note' but cannot find any thematic works!
Any hints would be greatly appreciated!

Think horizontally! You can always google the "man of note" . This should give the works required . Two of them are clued answers, one slightly less. The three will be a5,6 and 8 letter words respectively

I've Googled 'GM' and I'm assuming I'm looking for songs as his other works all have long, foreign names!
Or am I completely on the wrong track?

Ripper: Re Bert and Joyce Mon 22nd Nov 18.46: They had identified the christian name and the first letter of the surname of the "man of note". This should be helpful.

I've got the man of note, it's just I can't seem to locate his works.

Hi Ripper. Why do we torture ourselves on these puzzles? Take the alternative letter to each one you have chosen for your GM and you willarrive at another man of note. The one I have chosen with the evidence of three works in the grid. Hope this helps
