Lancashire Quiz
4 Answers
Please can someone help me with my delemar. I am doing the Lancashire Magazine Christmas Quiz and I am torn between two answers.
Q What is the highest point in Lancashire?
The answers that I have are Green Hill or Gargareth, I am leaning towards Green Hill as it is 2060 feet and Gargareth is 2057 but everywhere I look it is telling me that Gargareth is the highest, this is the last question on my competition sheet and I am so unsure, please can someone help with the correct answer I would be very grateful.
Thanking you in advance, kind regards.

However, they say they are the highest point in the ceremonial county of Lancashire but, The highest point within the historic boundaries is Coniston Old Man in the Lake District at 803 m (2,634 ft).
It goes on to say "The Old Man is the highest point in historical Lancashire, though following the 1974 revision of county boundaries in England it now lies, for administrative purposes, within Cumbria".
Unfortunately you will have to take your pick.
