Pearl Jam song with heart monitor??

My friend is convinced that she once heard a song which she said was accoustic and began with a sound like a heart monitor (cheerful!). She was told it was Pearl Jam and was written about a dying friend.

I have most Pearl Jam cds and can't work out what it is - she said it was a beautiful song so not a lively one I think. Have also tried Temple of the Dog but so far no joy.

It was a fair few years ago and was around the time of her father's death and was some comfort to her so I am trying to track it down for her - no lyrics to go on!!

Bit vague but if anyone has a clue please let me know!

might be one from Eddie Vedders solo material. possibly off his into the wild soundtrack which is mostly acoustic

Thanks for the answer but nope, got that album too and it's not there. It's driving me mad!!!
