I never do, why I bother entering them is a mystery to me, but ever hopeful. Either late last year or early this year I was watching South Today, and they had a story about this woman who was really lucky - she had won masses of stuff, holidays, and washing machines etc, in competitions, and blow me down if it wasn't a woman I used to work with! She'd taken early retirement and moved near the sea and spent her days filling out competition forms! Nice for her, though.
I was about 12 too when I entered a batch of competitions from various comics. I won a large whoppie cushion from Whizzer and Chips comic, a £10 record voucher from Pink magazine (or it could have been from Blue Jeans mag), another £10 voucher from Whopper comic and a wooden (that's showing my age!) tennis racket from some other comic which I can't remember.
I haven't won anything since! I'm still waiting for that big lottery win........
Actually I lie - once I did the Name Game in the Daily Mail (for a while you could text the answer in, but they don't seem to do that now) and noone was more surprised than me when a man rang and told me I had won some money - can't remember how much! So, 1 prize in years! of doing puzzles.
a weekend at Champneys. a bathrobe. a few bottles of Gancia and a ice bucket. £5,000 of home improvements which included a condensing boiler and a washing machine, an ipad.
