Doctors and Nurses quiz

Could anyone please help with the last question I am stuck on in this quiz which is
Number 83, Who had a number one hit in 1979 for three weeks, the letters are
2 4 3 3 4. Am I wrong in thinking this was Dr Hook in which case the letters do not
match up or am I completely on the wrong tack. Don.t like to have to ask but time
is pressing and I have exhausted all other avenues.

thanks for all the help, I had the doctor hook part but couldn' t figure out the rest
will just have to put 'and his band' I notice there are a couple of other clues with
a letter short also.
