The original is, "Why is a mouse if it spins?" - "Because one of its legs is both the same."
A much better joke is - A bear went into a barber's shop for a shave. "Oh," said the bear, "No soap", - so he died and he married the barber.
Noone gets that either!!!
This joke is similar to a couple of Swedish jokes I've heard:
Q What is the difference between a cow?
A It can neither walk.
AND
Q What is the resemblance between a cow?
A It's got the same distance between the ears.
One aspect of Swedish humour is laughing at the absurd and the bizarre (far from all Swedes find these kind of jokes funny!). In these jokes, including the duck joke, the humour is the bizarre grammar in the answer (e.g. 'One is both...' is simply a grammatically absurd construction, just like using 'It can neither walk...' without using a second verb).
I think these jokes are funny, though =)
