This is “King Cliffyg” my last word setting was in 2007 and I am pleased to be back.

For this, my first week I will ignore the greatest passion in my life (Lady Jo) or should that be cricket. I expect I will receive some advice from DeeCee my ancient umpire friend. Jess the cute Labrador in my avatar is also not averse to suggesting topics usually related to food or walkies.
But sport is my overriding passion I love the great events those steeped in history.
So what will it be for me today shall I have a gamble will it be a RECITAL, POUR MOI, or a MASKED MARVEL on a TREASURE BEACH in MEMPHIS TENNESSEE.

According to normal practice, for the everyday running of MM, I shall follow crofter’s rule on word length, in that each of my pre-selected link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!

Each of the selected link words may go in front or behind my challenge word! The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when crofter will declare my pre-selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am.

Having had a mention by the King (not one of his usual nicknames), I must say that I have only seen him 3 times this week (on cricket matters, of course), and have no idea what words he will introduce, My answers will quite likely prove that.

I doubt I will be first past the WINNING POST - it will be more Epsom Salts in the wound than romping on Epsom Downs.

Having sympathised with the king's premature and, as it turned out, misplaced relief i am disappointed at not getting a mention as one of his cricket-loving subjects :-)
