Not a very satisfactory one this week. I'm stuck with 16d: Latin's funny with mad historian. I have ?A?T?A?D and the only thing I can come up with is "CARTLAND". The only Cartland in my biographical dictionary is Barbara and she is hardly a historian. Even if she were, I do not understand the wordplay. Any ideas and/or explanations would be gratefully received.
