Help needed again please

Yahoo seems to have taken over my computer. My homepage has gone onto Yahoo which I dont want. Lots of ads popping up and things on FB keep repeating themselves, plus the other day it was so slow, I gave up trying to do anything. I been onto Help and Support and done a full scan and it says its ok. Ive downloaded a Microsoft virus cleaner but still cannot get rid of these things. The comp has speeded up a bit but I want to know how to get rid of the Yahoo toolbar as I think that is what is affecting everything.
Im a bit stupid over these things, so any easily explained answers would be greatly appreciated.

If so you can use the browser options menu to return the home page to the one you wish.
Toolbars can usually be switched off by right clicking on them and deselecting them. Do uninstall one would probably mean going via the tools/addins (or equivalent) menus.
However I'm suspicious about the rest of the problem, pop-ups and suchlike, which suggests to me a scan for malware is a good idea. Try www.superantispyware.com/ and www.malwarebytes.org/
