Just thought I would make you smile - they are installing new gas pipes in our road and today its our turn - the workman has just knocked and said can I move my car off the driveway as they have to dig some of it up - part of the pavement outside my drive is fenced off with the plastic safety barrier type things - well I have just reversed my car into them and they are laying on the ground squashed - I only just stopped short of reversing into the very large hole on the pavement..........(:o((

Has the gas supply for the whole of Essex been cut off now ?

haha - I was trying to miss my brick wall on one side, but forgot about the plastic safety barriers - three workmen laughing at me - I said 'reversing isn't my strongest point' (:o(( our gas is off at the moment, but that wasn't down to me - I can still see them laughing.....

They have just replaced the barriers and thrown the squashed ones on the lorry - hope they don't bill me for them. What a wally I am..

they replaced the water pipes in the street outside our house and the rest of all the street, then charged everyone £450 for the privalege !

Dee Sa, I think the workmen are terrified of going back tomorrow just incase DEN has done some more damage to their equipment !
DEN ! Ask them if you can drive their SteamRoller ! lol lol

Whats even more funny, Redman - earlier this afternoon, the workman knocked and said they had to down tools for about an hour, as the Site Inspector had just turned up and was going to do an audit on the equipment .......oops ! There are now 3 sets of barriers he can take of his list now. {:o(

Maybe the barriers are there to keep you in the House until after they have gone !!! :-))0

I just seem to be drawn to barriers, bollards - oh and did I tell you about the time, I got three orange traffic cones caught under my car and it took 4 workmen to lift my car off them - this was outside my friend's house, 2 cones came away easy, but the third one had somehow, welded itself around my exhaust pipe, my friend was laughing so much she wet herself - her neighbour had put the cones out in the road, as they were expecting a delivery.
