middle one is Lydd
You sure there's 6 in the first one? It looks like Bristol. 'Ship shape and Bristol fashion.'
is one definitely six letters? There is all ship shape and Bristol fashion for being tidy and correct.
yes - I wanted to say Bristol too
The last one is either ????bridge or Bridge????
last one could be Shawbridge
last one Bridgnorth?
I thought the last one might be Birmingham, seeing it is called the 'toolshop' of England
How about BRISTO' then?
My explanation of Shawbridge is a bridge is a spanner as it spans across the river, and definitely is sure (Shaw). And it is in the southern half of England. I may not be right but I think it is bridge rather than a tool type of spanner.
2 Lydd ?
sorry grasscarp, completely overlooked your answer right at the top
thats ok bibblebub. When I was a teenager I flew from Lydd to Le Touquet in a Carvair, with a car in the middle of the aeroplane and passengers sitting by the windows. Those were the days!
