Shot "raider" - more details released
http://menmedia.co.uk...gone-to-wrong-address
I saw this on the local news stands earlier, seemingly they thing the gang who broke into the property may have got the wrong address for the property they meant to target and the householder was on his own when they broke in - 4 balaclava'd raiders against just him.
I would hope that at least lessons are learnt from this death that the rights of the homeowner are protected in the hope that it discourages breakins. Saying that, has the gun culture with so many normal people being armed in the US discouraged breakins there to any degree? I doubt it. More of an update and muse than a question really.

There was a house round here they just bust the door down to find a mother breastfeeding a child. They were after a drug farm, they hurriedly beatled off again to get the right address and came back later to apologise and arrange for the door and it's surround to be fixed.
I think the burgaler got his just deserts, so many criminals rely on their "rights" time to show them the public can stand up for themselves even if the "force" has very little force any more (PCSO's really make me want to lagh, you might as well put a robotic puppet in a uniform for all the power they have)
