10a Understood how door is locked (5,2) Is the answer "Catch on" or "Latch on"? Very little difference to me, but no doubt only one is correct.

I would say catch on - that means understand

The clue must surely read understand, not understood.

I feel Latch is better as it is specifically a door lock.
