'On the radio' always means 'sounds like'. McDonald sounds like Macdonald as in 'Old Macdonald had a farm'. (I assume!).

On the radio usually meanas 'sounds like' or how you may hear something - I assume it means you would hear Old macDonald because it's a song - not a great clue though imo.
