i travel widely in my job ,towns and cities, observing that south yorkshire -doncaster / rotherham / barnsley must have the fattest people (mainly female) in the uk
sitting outside having a coffee in these town centres and seeing the constant flow of obesity that's passing is in a word "gobsmacking"
south yorkshire - the texas of great britain !
There's a lot of obese people about everywhere, as there are smokers, drinkers and drug takers, society seems to overdose on everything that's bad for you nowadays.
Re obesity, too much saturated fat and lots of sugar in processed food makes it worse and the fact that a lot of people don't make "proper" meals like they used to. It's easier to get take-aways and eat ready made food, too much of anything like that can make you overweight, anything in excess can but piling on the fat is more like with the wrong sort of food IMO.
Far from it i expect, no one as they say is perfect, but as you get older the health hazards are enormous, and as one who is having to cut back on stuff, consider that its better to do it, than find in 5 years time can't move.
