Local Paper Cryptic Crossword

I would be very grateful if someone could shed any light on my final answer in this crossword, please. I have two possible answers and both look like they could be right to me - but there's only space for one!
The clue:
Book written by a very revered prophet (5) *O*A*
(I'm pretty confident those letters are correct.)
I thought Koran or Torah, but which? Does anyone out there know why one might fit the clue better than the other - or have an even better answer to suggest? I'm stumped!
With very many thanks.

I like cryptic clues to lead to crisp, clean, certain answers, but I find this crossword to be quite 'flabby' and vague sometimes.

Hi sandyRoe - yes, it is the first 5 books, and according to Jewish tradition, the books were revealed to Moses by God, so Moses is 'credited' with writing them all.
Thanks for your answer too, scotman.
It's still not clear to me why one answer is more right than the other. I thought I might be missing a subtlety in the clue. I think I'll have to sleep on it!
