I could only think of crow or coot, neither of which I would describe as songbirds! I wonder if the compiler has ever heard a crow? Coots are quite gregarious, if a bit belligerent, but crows only flock in winter. They say if you see a flock of crows, they are rooks, and if you see a single rook, it's a crow!
