I remember when I was a kid two programs that my father was watching which I'd like to look up again. One was definitely a series and it was about a chap who had several long-lost sisters and he tracked down one in each episode. The other I think might have been a film and seemed to be about a guy with a really nasty skin disease (or burns maybe actually now I think about it? At any rate, he looked disfigured), and I think he was remembering his life from his bed.

Any ideas anyone as to what these might be called?

Cheers :c)

Perfect! :c) I just watched a clip on youtube and definitely singing detective for the second one. I'd love to know what that first program was though. Might try asking my dad again, see if he's had an improvement to his memory! Ta all.
is it not my one?
ps the singing detective was notorious in it's time for being rather racy!

Have I told you how much I love you recently bednobs! :c) It was that one yes... or at least it is as far as I can tell from the awful youtube link I've just been watching... Weird, it's clearly a comedy and yet my memory told me it was some sort of series program.

I like a bit of racey ;0)
you have not, but i am willing to take the compliment now. I think we may be of similar ages cause i remember watching both as a child (especially the racy bits!). They gave me a peculiar feeling in my tummy ;)

I would have been about 8 years old I reckon... and yeah, I remember the squishy tummy feeling as well... Suprised I wasn't sent to bed actually, terrible parenting... ;0)
