After leaving the hairdressers today, I came straight home and put a brush through my hair - and even though my purse was over £100 lighter after my visit, I do that every time. I just wondered if I'm the only one who always comes away from the hairdressers dissatisfied?
I hasten to add it's always ok once I've got my own hands on it - but hairdressers never seem to get it right Is it just me?
I have mine cut by a girl who comes to our house and it's £10; she could charge me £30 for a cut alone and I'd still consider paying it because I'm always so pleased with how she does it; after a disaster at my old hairdressers I want to hang on to her! I still have to wash it after she's gone but that's because I can't stand the feeling of little bits of hair all over me!
Oh, the cut's good, Sophie, and so is the colour - it's just the way they blow-dry it.
I know what you mean by disaster though. I went to another very well-known hairdresser - once. I came out looking like a curly bridesmaid, and got no farther than the nearest public loo before I brushed it out! Oh good grief!!
i colour my own hair as it is as good as the hairdresser can do it, as for cutting, well i wouldnt pay that much lol but i do agree the cut is very important but i can never get it the same way as the hairdressers get it and i always wash it lol as they never do it how i like it
My hairdresser is fantastic. Have known him since he was a trainee. If I cannot get an appointment with him I will wait. No one else dares to touch my hair.
Ah; I only get a dry cut then I style it myself! The disaster I had was that I asked her to shape the hair around my face; one side was fine the other looked like she had cut a chunk out of my hair; I had a massive section that was blunt cut and about 2 inches shorter than the other side. I went home and cried then got mad and went back and complained; they tried to give me the same woman but I refused! The lady who fixed it said "Ooh I see what you mean" when I showed her what was wrong so clearly it wasn't a style!
I would not leave or pay up until I was happy with their work.
Recently I changed hairdressers because I just could not afford the bill anymore, I have found somwhere else much nearer home and much cheaper and when leave the shop my hair looks good.I would find another hairdresser then you can explain exactly what you want and being a new customer they will listen.
wet cut for me every time. My hair is naturally wavy and it looks good from the minute I leave the hair dressers. Every 8 weeks I colour it and then I'm a happy bunny (£14 for the wet cut)
I usually get a new pair of clippers off Father Christmas so I can't remember the last time I actually paid for a haircut! I don't even shave so only have to buy razors once a year for Movember! Every cloud eh!!
