And finally, I'm sure that 30d Regarding people in association, doesn't forget is REMEMBERS but that means my thin on the ground, meagre, can't be scarce.
Help please!

And sorry not to have the actual crossword numbers - I've come to work without the paper!

1. Lei is right (lei sure).
2. F = female. F is absent from fire = to sack.
3. hits is anagram of this.
4. To deem means to consider, ergo RE DEEMS = considers again.
5. Re members could mean 'regarding the members'
re (regarding) members (people in assoc)
Could be sparse?
