Ipod giveaway

I keep getting e-mails from people asking me to fill in my details for this "ipods giveaway". Now the site says if they get just 9 people signing up with they're e-mail addy they receive a free ipod. Whats the catch?

I highly suspect there is no iPod to give away, they just want your details.

It's basically a new form of pyramid selling. At some point you will have to part with some cash, and you will never receive an ipod. BBC's Watchdog has already covered it.

Pyramid schemes do work for the very first people in the scheme, but very quickly mathmatics dictate that you will have to have millions of people sign up to see a return, and so the schemes collapse- leaving lot's of people out of pocket.

Avoid.

Alas it is a scam so if you hear anything about the "free ipods" going around. Ignore it :O)
