Was this rude of Lorraine Kelly this morning?
28 Answers
This morning she was interviewing Johnny Robinson and told him "Oh you have to play at g.a.y and they have to bring back the generation game and you could be Larry Grayson"
I actually cringed and was embarrassed for him and was a little worried at what lorraine was going to come out with next, a reference to liberace? That he should dress as one of the village people?
Does anyone think that this was rude of her to "Typecast" hi and start pigeon holing him on account of his sexuality?

Yes he was adorable but hardly superstar material and soon quickly faded into the butlins scene and then on to oblivion. The place not the ride.
Jno maybe.
Postdog thanks for your input.

Scrummymummy lk was the one that mentioned it and Johnny just got involved and had a laugh with it as many embarrassed people sometimes do.
I'm sure i caught a slight cringe from him but this may be more to do with him thinking himself as a superstar and not wanting to be compared to "Low level hasbeens" or ex celebrities.
I suppose we'll only truly know if we ever see a headline saying something like "Lorraine kelly was a cow to me" and here his warts and all description of how he percieved that interview.

Maybe we should look at this differently - if he were to be offered a gig at G.A.Y or to host a revived Generation Game would he accept the offers? If the answer is yes - which I suspect it would be - then how can it be rude to suggest it? I think these days we are far too sensitive. As a woman should I be offended if someone suggests I'd make a good mother - "typecasting me" -when maybe I want to be Prime Minister??
