Charity quiz help please!

I am tackling a 50 question local charity quiz and have got most of the answers but a couple are really giving me sleepless nights! Can anyone help?

1 G is a 1 F B a G of Z (something to do with a Gnome of Zurich?????)

Posting this again in case someone can help. If you don't like giving answers for a charity quiz, a hint or nudge in the right direction would also be appreciated. I'm getting a bit obsessed....

I'd be so grateful for some response! If it's just that these clues are really hard and no-one can help, that would be nice to know, too!

For the second one you need to think about very large numbers, one of which sounds like the name of a search engine.

Can you please tell me what is the closing date for the quiz and how I can obtain a copy. Thanks.

Thanks Elliemay1 for the Old Glory idea which I am now researching! Thanks too to pulse876 for your intruguing hint - not there yet but working on it.
The contact is: NSPCC Christmas Quiz , 77 Aviemore Way, Beckenham BR3 3RS. I'm not sure about the cost though as a friend bought my copy and sent it on to me - sorry! The closing date is 31st December - so a bit of time for me to go on racking my brains.....

Should have said that the prize is a voucher for a local restaurant so probably not a good one to enter unless you are reasonably local!
