So, police warned no travel between 2 pm and 9 pm - all schools are closed - offices are shut, roads flooded, buildings deemed in dangerous condition and streets are closed off, winds are horrendous- neighbours roof now on my path, trees down etc etc etc.

My neighbour has let her two kids 12 and 9 out to run about in school playground - Huge trees in playground, slate roof etc.

The girl is in shorts and a top and the 8 year old boy is dressed in a short frock and high heels!!!!

Is it just me????

You can get a better effect wearing a frock in this wind :)

What on earth is parent/guardin thinking. You just know if anything happened to either child, the school would be sued.

shouldn't think so alba - it's not their school.....it's not good enough for them!! Schools have all been shut since 12.30 and kids sent home.

I know... when I were a lad, in wind like this, I'd be climbing up the silver birch trees at the top of the hill in Arrowe Park! That's what kids are meant to do isn't it!?!

both kids are a pain in the butt but the boy is a wee sheeite. Police regularly at their door and he has done some pretty nasty things to my boy - I kinda hope something does happen to them - in the same way that I love to reverse out the drive quickly in case they happen to be behind me :o)

Paul, i'd love them to try it.

alba - I think all you guys further west needed to be shut earlier - it wasn't too bad here til 12ish but blowing a hooley now. The shut my office at back of 1 but should have been shut earlier imo.
