Which film

For years I have been wondering about a second world war film I saw years ago which finished with an actor and actress coming up onto the London street following their time in the underground war rooms. He has just invited her out for dinner having checked his watch and when they get to street level they realise it is morning and not evening. Very vague I know but any ideas?
