Christmas traditions or how far do you take it?

I love people that go a little overboard at this time of year. I mean I used to send over 500 Christmas cards but put a stop to that, the thought of that make my wrists ache!!! Anyway I've just read about one lady who takes it quite far and decks out the ceiling of her living room with an incredible 1,700 Christmas baubles....ha!

She started decorating her home at the end of September and doesn't expect to finish until tomorrow. Her bauble collection has been brought from all around the world - and each year she spends £100 on new decorations.

Plus to save the effort of pinning up the baubles and then taking them down again after Christmas, she is now considering leaving them up all year round.

Do you know anyone else that takes Christmas to the extreme?

Not any more, most can't afford it for one thing, and are getting to an age when there are other things to worry over.

My mum puts her tree and decorations up in November and goes quite overboard, not to the tune of 1700 baubles though (as far as I know).

its seems such a waste spending the autumn months putting baubles us and as soon as she is finished she will have to start taking them down again.

Silly woman should stitch all the baubles to a piece of cloth that is the same size as her ceiling, she could then just nail the cloth up every year. It would take less than 30 minutes :)
