Next door and we take down the dividing fence, put up a small marquee, and have open house out in the garden for friends and family of both houses. We did it for the first time last year - it was brilliant. We put Christmas trees and fairy lights all round the garden and the marquee, chimineas lit, people keep their coats on, lots of mulled wine - it's different, it's New Year's Eve in the garden, complete with a bagpiper!
I'm going to Princes Street Gardens to see Primal Scream with loads of friends and then all back to mine for a wee party! I normally hate New Year but I'm looking forward to it this year.
Don't think I'm doing anything. I've been invited round to my aunt and uncles but its too much hassle with Little Tiggs. Probably stay at home and see the new year in alone.
Boxtops that sounds lovely! Parties and nights out all over here but going to a houseparty - friends, can sit down if I want, no extortionate entry fees or drinks, closer to home for a cheaper taxi and I can stay over when I want to, sorted :)
