The MM Links game got off to a slow start for January but picked up last week with an average-scoring game.
Tomorrow at 8:45 am, 'The Court Jester' aka Kettledrum, will open procedings in Q & P with her preamble. The actual challenge words will be posted at 9:00.
I am not sure which King's court she is jester to, but the castle they all reside in was built to mythical standards so the 'Court Jester' has to please her master or will have the choice of being thrown into the dungeon, or take her chance with the dragon. She therefore has a great incentive to be lenient with her selection tomorrow.

Bonus points are only available for two minutes following each link's discovery, so it pays to be early with your predictions in this game.

Not so in the sister game of the KM Links (run by seekeerz) where bonus points are equally available all weekend. That game is based on Kate Mepham's GK crosswords in the Daily Telegraph and is usually launched at some ungodly hour on Saturday morning. Play any time with an equal chance of scoring.

As for this thread, It has commonly been known as 'The Shrubbery' but has become rather rather neglected and overgrown of late. Pauline wanted to hold a party last weekend, but it didn't materialis. Tonight, she hopes to remedy that by buying everyone a drink (. . . sorry, I misread that: she expects everyone to buy HER a drink!)
The gates, and the bar, are now open.

Happy linking tomorrow,
gen2

No picture showed up on that link Strix.
Not on antibiotics Jan...but wouldn't mind some of Sarumite's mushrooms for the pain!
I do have a friend who lives near Anstruther, Gen2, but I managed to resist asking her!

You need one quite a bit further north than that Tearinghair, (for the one I'm thinking of) though there were several frm Fife.
Was just thinking - the grass in the shrubbery is long enough now for one of Sarumite's 'cunning disguises'. Nostalgia for the 'good old days' strikes, even on MM Links.
It certainly does Christiana. :-)
We'll be getting the bus out next!
Have you got your HGV licence yet, Pauline? Or is it still seat-of-the-pants stuff?
I forgot...you've seen me drive! :-)
Question Author
You'll need a full set of rosary beads if Pauline is driving!
think we all have to run with the bus like the flint stones unless it has been serviced since last time
Back later - now watching Law and Order UK
There's no Law and Order in the shrubbery! :-)
gen...oh yea of little faith!

Jan that image makes me giggle! Sort of like this...

Ooh-er my avatar image has disappeared again. Should be back on the hour with any luck...
I thought you'd got lost in the long grass!
Time for supper, but I don't know what I fancy.
Well that's the end of Law and Order - in more ways than one!
What's for supper then Christiana?
Think I might have to go without supper tonight - we were out to lunch today and ate rather too heartily - it was good though, and our host made some lemoncello (no idea if that's how you spell it but it's very good) - it's a sort of liqueur
I have just discovered lychees ..yesterday.
Reg bought some, and I absolutely love them. Mind you they look like pickled onions when the skin is off.
