Checked a few sources and I reckon the answer is that they all are (or have been) types of British railway wagons. Can't give all the types, but a Shark is a 50tonne bogie hopper wagon. In a similar vain,the Dogfish is a 21tonne hopper wagon. I checked with freinds on another site ('cos I'm into trains) and an ex railwayman confirms the above answer.
