MM Links February 2012 Week 1

Are you there CENTRINO?
Last Sunday when I offered Lysander the chance to set the February MM Links, She revealed that her husband had just died and therefore declined.
We all offer her our sincere condolences and sympathy at this time.
I then offered the chance to Centrino but without response. I therefore appeal to CENTRINO to contact me on the email address given again last night

so that he may set them for the remaining three weeks.
As a stop-gap, I, 'The Penguin', have cobbled together a few words and some challenges to keep you teased for another weekend.

No best answer has yet been selected by gen2. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.
For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.According to normal practice, for the everyday running of MM, I shall follow this rule on word length, in that each of my pre-selected link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!
Each of the selected link words may go in front of, or behind my challenge word.
The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when gen2 will declare my pre-selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am.

Since the 1960s, one of my hobbies has been photography. I started off with Kodachrome II and soon extended into exploring B&W negative stock - Pan-F and FP4 being my preference. After just three attempts, I realised that the local processing facility did not come up to my expectations and I resolved to learn how to process my own.
Home processing opened up a number of new experiences where I could manipulate the images in ways not available from Gratispool! Processes called cooking, solarisation, posterisation, bas-relief, sandwiches, dodging, burning, double-exposures rapidly became second nature. Ah. the hours I spent breathing chemical fumes and dabbling in dishes of possibly carcinogenic liquids. Happy days.
For 10 years from 1974 I was a member of the local Photographic Society where I honed my skills, learning much from fellow members. My highlight from that time was to have a print accepted in an international salon. Then a change in my job meant less time was available for my hobby and it was relegated to occasional dabbling. It was the development of digital technology that reawakened my interest in 1999 and particularly since I retired 5 years ago, I have devoted more and more time to this pastime.
While you wait for the 9:00 start, you may enjoy taking a look at some of my images from the last year on http://www.blipfoto.com/gen2 where I have been posting one photo a day. Why not try it yourself?
