Daylight in the night! Very spooky ......
12 Answers
Morning all - or should I say Happy Christmas! Very pretty scenery here in Leicestershire about 3" snow last night. Did anyone else see the strange phenomenon last night - it was daylight in the night!! We noticed at 2.30am that the bedroom was so bright, its usually pitch dark as the council switch all our street lights off from 00.00 to 5.00 so it was a bit strange. On looking out of the window we were amazed to see that it was virtually daylight, we could see everything in the whole street, houses, gardens etc in clear detail. The sky was a yellowish-grey and it had stopped snowing a few hours earlier, it wasn't the moon shining as it was thick cloud. We live on a hill and look over our town and we could see all the main town lights shrouded in fog but if we had gone outside I'm sure it was light enough to read a newspaper in the street. It wasn't just the reflection of the snow I'm sure - but whatever it was, it was very eerie!!! Maybe something caused it like it does the Northern Lights?

Weird isn't it.
