Anyone finished this one? I have a full grid - though not sure about the thematics that are supposed to be abbreviated - mine aren't - I have the 4 others but not the first 5 - is it a royal connection? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
Yes it is royal.
The abbreviations referred to are not in the grid but in the associated words from five of your thematic grid entries I believe.

Thankyou Geoff. In that case it must be the previous house - can see a slight connection to he ones beginning with F and I and I know who made the change but again can't see the connection of the second word of his name to the 15 letters.

I now see 6 letters and B-G and 15 letters Pl -5 - still no idea of the connection between SC and 3 of the other 5 - I suppose it doesn't matter?
Hi
Persevere. The FULL title of the previous consists of three words(4,6,5). Break these 15 letters in order into groups of 3,3,4,3,2 and you might see the light.

It all dropped into my lap just before you posted . endgame are always my Achilles heel. Thanks again
You're very welcome
I'm all filled in, have the previous and current name, but am having trouble with the 'who'
'boy' is OK, but 'plead' is giving me grief!
Any help appreciated
Thanks in advance
PLEAD the Fiftth(Amendment)?
Thank you neveracrossword
Can anyone who's done this confirm two of my answers? I don't always understand Inquisitor clues/solving!
35 A. One following game not a bit knackered - legs fresh (6) STALER
25 A. Now apply oneself ?(5) I opted for SETTO
35a yes stalKer (remove the k-knackered)
25a yes -don't like the clue - isn't it set to?
There are, of course, misprints in the definitions of both these clues. I thought the 'SET TO' was quite neat.
Thanks, both of you.
