It’s a shame more quiz setters don’t say the same thing.
So why not support the charity and submit whatever answers you can work out for yourselves? Why only buy quizzes where you can ask for help? Your attitude would suggest it’s because you aren’t actually that interested in supporting the charity but only in trying to win the prize?

No the point is that the poster thinks it is ok to advertise the quiz here but is preventing people from using the site.
Compare it to me advertising say, cheap car insurance from Churchill on the Direct Line website and saying don't buy it from Direct Line.
Fortunately, everyone else on the thread apart from yourself agrees with this common sense approach.

If I was the Ab Editor, I would have deleted this thread as soon as it reared its head. I am always happy to support the Answerbank by helping anyone who posts questions to either this or any other quiz here.
I would never stop buying quizzes just because of the strictly no asking for clues/answers request.I do think however that some questions are really difficult and don't see why clues can't be asked for perhaps within a week or two of the closing date.I'm a quizaholic and try them for the challenge and not solely for the chance of winning-and to support the different causes. My only complaint or suggestion would be that the closing date shouldn't be too far ahead- four or five months is a bit too long .I'd say 2-3 months max is long enough.
Sorry folks, this problem raises its ugly head again.... but the majority of supporters of the charity and my quiz prefer me to stipulate this. The point is if you cant or are unable to complete the quiz, then why not send it in unfinished. What's wrong with that? I don't see how you can claim to be a winner of anything if its not all done by you. To me its simply cheating, so I will continue to put that stipulation in my quizzes, they still sell, it pleases most people, we raise lots of money for MAGPAS and that's all that matters.
Just as a point of interest, at least one of the 'moaners' above who claims not to buy my quizzes any more - still does!!!, so what's the point in worrying.
I am not suggesting that you cant use the site, I still do, but am only asking that you don't ruin my quiz for those who would like to do it all themselves.
Anyhow, thanks to everyone who does and will continue supporting it, and clearly enjoy the challenge and are prepared to admit defeat and send in their papers with their own answers often unfinished.
