Can anyone help with these ?

Whih is the odd one out, and what links the others ?

1 ) orange, lemon, lime, banana , olive

2 ) 8i , 4c, 8p, 12m, 10w

3 ) 1, 3, 5, 13, 14 ( Is there anything else apart from the obvious answer about odd and even numbers ?!!! )

I don't get Sibton's answer to 2. I have spent a lifetime campaigning against odd one out type of questions unless the answer is accompanied by the reason why. Banana seems the choice for 1 but for different reasons, each equally valid in my opinion (though I'm not sure about the oil bit)

If that is the case then it is exceedingly contrived. I've a feeling it's something much simpler but just can't see it.

If these are algebraic expressions you could argue that 10w is the odd one out as 4 is a factor of all the others. See what I mean about giving the reason why?

8 incisors, 4 canines, 8 premolars, 12 molars
