a strange coincidence?
The other day I watched Akeelah and the bee on film four (not a documentary about honey but about a little girl who enters a spelling competition, a very good film, try and catch it when they next show it)
Yesterday i was at an auction and whilst stood by some books, I saw one was called a shropshire lad by A E housman, never having heard of him nor the book i picked it up and looked, it was poems.
today i went on wikipedia to look up Akeelah and the bee (something i do with films to find out more about them) in the wikipedia text it lists the words the children fail to spell as they get further on in the spelling bee competition, each word is highlighted, so i clicked on it and it goes to a new page with the meaning of the word.
one of the words was Mithridatism, the wikipedia entry has a the meaning of it and also has a poem by A E housman published in his book a Shropshire lad.
Are there mystic forces at work, and if so, why do they choose to do it on something so bizarre?
