122 - I don't have scarlatti
132 - I have the same answer - I think the tense is right
12 - female swimmer initials J G
114 - I also have Goethe but not 100% happy. I think Rowe is wrong as the title refers to a woman.

I also am googled out!
Q122 Have you thought of Gluck?
Does anyone have Bachschmid as an answer?  I can't find any evidence as to where he died, re quesion no.123.
I found that Bachschmidt died in Eichstatt.
Thanks sleuth, I think I will go with Scarlatti, as I found that he died in Vienna
Not so fast Queen Bee; according to Encyclopaedia Britannica, Scarlatti died in Madrid; Mozart died in vienna

Gluck also died in Vienna.

Question Author
OK - so we have a choice of Mozart, Gluck and Scarlatti who all appear to have died in Vienna but no mention of Demetrio being lost, or Bachschmidt who died elsewhere but whose Demetrio is lost. Hmmmm!
Q114. If you google Wilhelm and Natalia you get the answer.  Natalia was Lothario's sister.

Q114 - further to my answer. I think I read nearly the whole of the book, well skimmed through it anyway, and found proof that Lothario had a sister, Natalia, who married person in question.

122.metastasio,died in 123's cat.
Q122 - Splitting hairs here but Metastasio was a 17th-18th Century composer (Born 1698)(Question stipulates 18th Century) so that "should also rule that one out :-) I had Bachschmidt but have started having big doubts now.
More researching on Q122

Scarlatti - Wrong Century
Bachschmidt - Wrong place of Death
Mozart - right century - but Demetrio not noted as being lost
Gluck - as Mozart, although Demetrio re-named Cleonice (would this be classed as "lost")

I was obliviously happy with Bachschmidt until now :-)
Probably too late now, but i went for Metastasio, though alunrw brings up a good point re. the centuries, it matched every other critea though. The problem I had was that Metastasio wasn't the name he was born with, but then they didn't ask for that.

Q122 Scarlatti was born in 1685 and died in 1757 so he could have written the opera after 1700.

The question says 18th century composer, not that he was born in the 18th century.  What do others think?

Q122 I've decided to go with Gluck on this one, it was my first choice, then thought it might be Scarlatti.

Anyway that's my answer, right or wrong.

There were three Scarlattis, one born  Naples1723 died in Vienna 1777.

This question is Jinxed. I have just checked  out the site I have given and drawn a blank. I think Vic and Dave  are portergeists .

Try this on Google 'lost opera, Demetrio, Scarlatti'.

Best of luck all
