The Daily Mail have another cat-related story today. http://www.dailymail....at-critical-list.html

I have been unlucky enough to be bitten by my little Princess a couple of times and it hurt like hell both times, both wounds became infected and I had to take antibiotics.

Frankie has bitten me but never broken the skin - so far.

This has actually made me a little bit nervous, my mum has two cats at home where I live part time and although lovely they can get a little feisty while playing and I regularly have little bites and never thought anything of it! Can't see myself running to A&E everytime they play a little too rough though!
would the daily mail have reported this had the cat been white?
My sister ended up in hospital with a similar thing... but from Miss TabBs a wily old street raker with a penchant for sinking her teeth into the fleshy part of her hand she said it was interesting watching the red lines tracking up her arm...

If it starts to get infected you will know about it - the wound gets hot and swollen and it hurts very very much.
Thats why I always kept magnesium sulphate paste to use in dressing cat bites good for drawing the muck out but I've been lucky so far.

It easy to forget that they are killing machines in little furry bodies. They can be pretty fast - Merlin never warns me that she is getting annoyed.

doctorb - where does it say what colour the cat was? She is posing with a black cat in the newspaper but that cat was not the attacker.

Both my cats are black and white - what would the Daily Mail make of them?
Mr BM got bitten by a dog the other week. Ended up in the Walk in centre and had a tetanus and antibiotics.

ASBO has been known to sink his teeth into me. I am not dead. Yet.
Lol doctorb...

I'll have to show this to my OH...him and the cat are always fighting. Always playful....but fighting nonetheless...

BM, how can you say such things about that innocent little boy. Are you really saying that this angelic little ginger boy would possibly bite the hand that feeds him? You are a bad mother!
lol Wolf. I know I am a terrible mother. All four of them tell me regularly in their own way.

As for "innocent little boy" and "angelic little ginger boy", I nearly spat my coffee out at that one!
oooo 'eck!

We've all had bites and scratches from Indi at Chez Boo, and like the woman in the story we've just washed and slathered with Savlon.

Bloody hurts though!
