Hi

Please could someone shed some light on today's puzzle. The clue is as follows:

At a charity dinner, the first 30 people to purchase raffle tickets had an average of three each. After a further 30 people bought tickets, the average number rose to eight. What was the average number of raffle tickets purchased by each of the last 30 people only. Is the answer 13?

Thanks

yes
Thats what I make it
30 people have 90 tickets. 60 people have 480 tickets. 480- 90 = 390 divided by 30 = 13
