As I am sure you will all have noticed, we have got the bunting out and the hall is totally jubilantly decked. The red white and blue theme has been continued with jubilation throughout the building and even the stables have been repainted puce (which is the colour we got when we mixed the red white and blue paints).
Members who wish to identify themselves as jubilarians may do so by signing the Big Book on the sideboard in the lower lesser grand ballroom.
Tonight's jubilar raffle so far has for prizes:
1 silver jubilee mug (slightly cracked)
1 golden jubilee tea towel (slightly washed out)
14 Union Jack flags (all full size)
6 red buttons
7 white gloves (some pairs)
8 blue berets (the hats, not the men)
Another dig DT? No the lady doth not protest too much. Just horrified that you imply that I may be reading rubbish. I will collect cloak, hamster and broom and depart to read Wild Swans. Again.
just passing by and heard the free for all, not tailcocks I may add, about a
certain book. I heard nothing untoward by TC...possibly too many
tailcocks all round.
Will go now..may pop in again sometime, have to let my pussy in, she will be
wet as its persisting down here.
I never insinuated that you read rubbish, Daisy, not at all. If you got the impression I did, then I apologise....Go back and re-read it as there was no intention in that direction at all and you have upset me with your inference and subsequent comments.
Where were you when I was stuck under the settle owd? A lovely evening. SD returned the stolen FF. Tenric was magnificent. DT was, as usual, polite and entertaining and the company was fun. Even if I didn`t get a reffle prize.
I really don't know why Daisy...I really have not gone out intentionally to upset you either in the reference to 50 Greys or even in my "penultimate" remark.......sorry if you take it the wrong way. I am going to bed as (i) things that I am writing now are being misconstrued by you and (ii) I too am not upset per se, but seriously rattled or is the better word "sensitive" by the accusations and remarks you have made and (iii) this is not the forum for such an exchange.....
Night to you Daisy, enjoy Wild Swans though I think you know my thoughts of that when laid next to Life and Death in Shanghai (and I am not saying that WS is a bad book, believe me).
I will have a word with the trainer Andy Crook who is one of the nicest people you could wish to meet, or you could look on the Racing Post, it will most likely be in the north.
