THANKS SHOOTY & WRITESBAD! HOW DO YOU GET YOUR HEAD ROUND THAT ONE THOUGHT I DID WELL TO COMPLETE 80% OF IT MY FIRST 'TIMES' CROSSWORD. NOW 19 DOWN IS WRONG; 'THAI NEIGHBOUR TAKEN NORTH TO A LOCH BY SCOTSMAN' L---IAN. I HAD 'LOTHIAN' BUT 'OVERRIDE' GIVES 'L-O-I-N'

Shooty, you must have an extra cell in your brain lad! lol
I now have 'O-E-R-D-' for 22across; 'ANNUL SIN BURDENING ROMAN WRITER CLOSE TO HORACE'
'OVERRIDE' fits, (annul sin), but not sure about the Roman Writer meaning? need your extra cell again Shooty so you help me to can FINISH this 'Times' crossword...... ( PS. Thanks for your nice compliment, inspiring for me with only a 2ndary modern schooling!)
