Yes, was a bit of a shock when I went on this morning to check some answers to find this had happened. Will now have to look up my own answers to the soap questions in Chat as I never watch any of them.

There is a post in Loquax about the reason the site was closed down. I think it is due to legal action by a magazine.

Yep, I'm afraid so peeps.....Marina's Mag Competition Answer site has now officially closed down.
I visited her website the other day,and she explains why.....

"Following proposed legal action by various competition magazines, this site is now closed.
We would like to thank all those of you who have visited this site over the years and wish you luck with all your competitions."

Quite typical of these Competition magazines I think!! Grrrrrr....... :(
Don't they ever think of people who don't get much spare time to solve puzzles on their own!! Especially when they have a busy and hectic lifestyle!
I am so angry and annoyed about what they have done. Pah! :(
I hope that they get very little sales in their mags now, and less profit!

I've looked everywhere for a substitute website, but cannot find any!!
Drat and double drat!! Well, I won't be buying puzzle mags anymore that's for sure!! Stupid legal action indeed....hmmmph! Meh! :(

imotep - try loquax forums and money saving expert forums for answers. I am not sure how much longer the answers will be posted on these forums for.

Funny you should say that wolf63, because I did look on the money saving expert forums,and although I found some answers, most of them were obsolete ones!! I couldn't find the latest answers tbh!! :(

Having said that, I haven't yet looked on the loquax forums.
I will take a look right after I post this message, and apparently I have it on a separate PC window.

As for the puzzle mag Take A Break, I have completely solved ALL of the puzzles, so if anyone would like any help on the latest issue, then just drop me a message on the Quizzes and Puzzles and I'll be glad to help.
That is when I'm signed on of course.... :)

I buy the Chat and Take a Break each week but doing all the puzzles would take me forever.

I do the on-line/web competitions through Loquax as well and it has become a hobby. I need to get out more. ;-)

Mind you it took me a bit of time to actually find the right section for the Take a Break answers on moneysavingexpert ! Having said that, the answers I did find, I had solved already!
Ah well, I can always have another look again....I had to register on Loquax to find my way round, but in the end I couldn't even find a way of even posting any comments!! So, I might close my account on that feeble website!! :(

It took me a very long time to work out how to navigate loquax. There are two parts to the site.

On the forums people post competitions found in newspapers and magazines.

Though in my opinion, I do find moneysavingexpert a much better website than Loquax. Thanks anyway.
I'm a bit lost on Loquax, and I still cannot find a way to post anything.
In fact, I'm just about to go on the "Introduce Yourself and say Hello" forum....
and I've just managed to post again!! Hooray!!
So, I may not close my Loquax account after all! :)

I think that you might have to be a member for x amount of time before you can post - but there should be guides to everything at the beginning of the forum.

MSE has many good points but I get a bit lost with the competitions.

It has to be said that I am easily confused.

As it happens wolf63, I'm getting around the place much better now tbh....
Plus I can also post comments!! What a result......didn't take me long to work things out. Still got a little way to go though in order to get better results.
