This is 'Don Corleone' back to finish [you] off.
It has been a very enjoyable experience, my second time, setting the links for the past five weeks up to today. As a token of my appreciation of your efforts, I offer the 'Don's' protection to all entrants who have tried to outguess me and many have succeeded. It goes worldwide to cover Seekeerz (Australia) and Mr & Mrs O (Canada), as I have many good 'mafioso' friends in those countries.
I must, of course, give very special thanks and protection to Gen 2, for his guidance and assistance. This is one task that the 'Don' will not be taking over.
I look forward to getting back to trying to guess the link words of my successor. Will it be someone like me, with previous experience, or a newcomer to the task? Time will tell after this week is completed, and I wish them 'Buona Fortuna' (Good Luck) and not its' reverse meaning - that is for the other 'Dons'.

According to normal practice, for the everyday running of MM, I shall follow this rule on word length, in that each of my pre-selected link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!
Each of the selected link words may go in front of, or behind my challenge word to make a new longer word or to make a well-known phrase or saying. The combination will never be a person's name.
The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when gen2 will declare my pre-selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am.
Each of the selected link words may go in front of, or behind my challenge word to make a new longer word or to make a well-known phrase or saying. The combination will never be a person's name.
