Perenials for my garden
Heres the thing
I would like to plant out some plants in the garden and leave them there
They must be white flowered and scented if possible but they must be slug and snail resistant as I have a plague of the things at the moment
Any ideas?
Many thanks in advance

There is however a climbing honeysuckle that is a creamy white that smells heavenly. We also have a big problem with slugs and cannot use pellets due to having a dog and a garden full of wildlife, some of which also eat the plants, pesky rabbits. I have been keeping egg shells and popping them in the oven to sterilize them, breaking them into small sharp shards and putting them rounds slug attacked Hostas etc with a great deal of success it seems to work better than grit. Also on pots I smear a mix of vaseline and salt on the outside of the pot in a ring, this seems to do the trick and stays there most of the summer. If I come up with some white smellies, I will re-post.
Oh thanks for all those
I have lavendar - its was in before so I dont want to take it out - also the pesky things have been at my lily of the valley - mind you with all the rain they did not last too long
Have tried a jasmin but I think it has died - might try again though as I like the fragrance
I will certainly look into the other ones too
Again many thanks

Have braved the rain , walk round my garden sniffing my whites. Nicotiana ( usually treated as an annual) is in bloom for its third year. Its not fully hardy but if in a sheltered position survives winter. It is very pungent in the evening.
I have a Dictamus which is fragrent , mine is purple, but you can get a white version.
As Robinia suggests Sweet Rocket but cut back spent blooms for a second flush of flowers, then let seed.
Pinks and Carnations are available in the garden centres at the moment, some of which are very fragrant.
Sweet cicely, very pretty lacy flowers.
I have a large area Sweet Williams which include white all of which are fragrant, these I let ,seed themselves. Although the white hasn't got such a strong smell, it might be worth looking for.
White Lillies, its a bit late to plant bulbs but you may find some for sale potted .
Narcissus Pheasant Eye, smells heavenly and is one of the last flowering in the spring.
Hyacinthus -'L' Innocence
