MM Links Results July 2012 Week 1

This week's game is over so I can now reveal the chosen links of King John II were:-

WATER BUFFALO
NARROW BOAT
ARROW HEAD
BOWLINE

All were discovered but, like last week, there were some that favoured early players and others stood the test of time to reward later players.

Once again roslyn2512544's knejerk reaction proved accurate as she immediately hit the double of NARROW BOAT and ARROW HEAD for 4 points.
Christiana, Manxiemo, patchett & owllady were in time for the bonus on the latter (2 points each).
Surprisingly, since King John II had already expressed an interest in canal boats, nobody selected 'narrow boat' in the next hour but it then regained popularity.

The next to fall was BOWLINE, chosen by kawakiri (along with 'narrow boat and 'bowline) for 4 points. Another link that regained popularity later in the game.

Now that elusive 4th link held out until 10:20 when relative newcomer BIGJACK dipped more than his toe in the water and found a WATER BUFFALO alongside a 'narrow boat' for 3 points.
Surprisingly, nobody else spotted a water buffalo apart from myself who saw one in the shrubbery on Friday night! Now there's a coincidence!

Despite there being 5 double-hitters, the observant amongst you will already have realised that we had a treble-hitter this week.
