I did factor30. But other people have done this crossword & asked for answers, So hoped they could possibly help?.......

creamegg has confirmed that the G doesn't cross with the answer to EACH (which is EVERY)- apparently the R (which you said was a G from Hatchling) does not cross with any other answers.
Maybe there were some incorrect copies or you slipped up somewhere

Maybe there are two versions of this crossword because creamegg gets his letters in EVERY from completely different words

perhaps the answer is elegy and the compiler gave the wrong clue! Just thought I'd put the cat amongst the pigeons, so to speak.

Maybe liverpoo had an incorrect version as he said his letters in EVERY came for Lane delRay, Eyed , hatchling (giving the G) and something else (I've forgotten).
