26 The only suggestion I can make is it a Spelling Error and should read
Tumbril not Tumble. People have stated previously that this setter is prone to mistakes.
I know the area around Spurn Head, and there isn't a town or city that's anywhere the Spurn Head lighthouse (which is disused, anyway). The lighthouse is stuck out on a spit of sand, and the nearest settlement to the north is Kilnsea, and to the south is Cleethorpes, miles away across the Humber.
Brilliant, emeritus. I got Barrow-upon-Humber but discounted it because of tumble. There have been quite a few mistakes in clues lately-it's really annoying when you spend time trying to get answers.Perhaps the setter will acknowledge this one?
Unfortunately the setter doesn't use a computer, so unless you ring him direct there is no way of checking on the clues. He is very approachable though, I spoke to him a few quizzes ago.
26. Already said i think the setter means the point of the river near spurn lighthouse, which is the mouth of the Humber, the only town i can find to fit is Falmouth,
